The global COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the way we live our lives, including how we travel by air. Please read these instructions carefully before you begin your journey from home so you know what to expect when you get to the airport. We have put in place several measures to keep you and our staff safe.

Yes, as on today Covid testing facility is available. Covid testing facility in international arrival area will be activated on 24th Dec 2022 as per the Govt of India Guidelines dated 22nd Dec 2022.

COVID-19 Testing facility details:

  • Location – at CSMIA is located in the international arrival concourse, in the pre-immigration area, after the health screening counters
  • Number of Registration Counters – 06 nos
  • Number of sampling booths – 03 Nos
  • Name of Designated COVID 19 testing Laboratory - Lifenity (ICMR approved and NABL accredited lab)
  • Sample processing Capacity of the lab / 24hr – 4000 samples / 24hrs as on date.

It is recommended that all passengers should wear protective gears/equipment at all times during their travel. In the event of additional requirements of PPE, passengers can purchase the same at pharmacy stores located at the airport at various locations as provided below:

  • Apollo Pharmacy Near Information Counter, Check-in hall, Terminal 2
  • Apollo Pharmacy, Post Departure Immigration
  • Apollo Pharmacy in Check-in area, Terminal-1

CSMIA has taken various precautionary measures for the safety of its personnel and passengers to prevent COVID-19 spread including:

  • Availability of hand sanitizers at all touch points;
  • Pre-planned seating arrangements in all areas to ensure social distancing
  • Regular sanitization of assets at all touch points;
  • Ensuring strict compliance of social distancing norms by the passengers and staff to minimize direct contact;

  • Arrangement for proper disposing of used masks, face shields, gloves and PPEs etc.; and
  • Sufficient availability of face masks, gloves & hand sanitizers at the pharmacy outlets at the airport.
  • Sanitization mats available at the departure entry gates for sanitization of shoes.
All passengers vaccinated with both the doses of the Covid 19 vaccine and 15 days have lapsed since the administration of seoncd dose of the vaccine and are in possession of the final vaccination certificate issued through the CoWIN portal will be exempted from the mandatory requirement of a negative RT PCR report for entry into the state.
In view of the guidelines published by MoCA order no. 29017/14/2020-DT dated 10.05.2022 and DGCA order no. 4/1/ 2020-IR dated 08.06.2022 there has to be strict compliance of COVID-19 protocols at Airport and Inside the aircraft. Passengers must wear a facemask at all times during the travel.
Frequent announcements are made to ensure that passengers are wearing facemask and following COVID protocols.
Frequent sanitization is being carried out across the terminal. In addition, sanitizer dispensers are placed at prominent locations in the terminal.

Please note in case the passenger violates COVID protocols or refuses to wear mask even after repeated warnings,

  • Passenger without a facemask will not be permitted to enter the terminal. CISF personnel deployed at the entrance of the Airport will ensure that no one is allowed to enter the Airport without wearing a mask.
  • At the airport, he/ she can be fined as per the State Law and he/ she may be handed over to Security Agencies for dealing with the matter as per the applicable law on the subject.
  • Before departure- He/ she can be deboarded.
  • During the course of the flight such passenger may be treated as “Unruly Passenger” and procedure in respect of handling such unruly passenger shall be followed by the concerned airline.
Passengers are advised to wear facemask properly and continue to wear the mask throughout the journey inside the aircraft.
As per the Guidelines for International Arrival published by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, 2% of the total flight passengers shall undergo random testing on arrival. Passengers shall be allowed to leave the airport post undergoing the test. Children under 12 years of age are exempted from post-arrival random testing. As per the Guidelines for International Arrival published by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Passengers arriving from certain high risk countries (China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Republic of Korea, Thailand and Japan) would be required to submit complete and factual information in self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal (www.newdelhiairport.in) before the scheduled travel, including last 14 days’ travel details. b. Upload negative COVID-19 RT-PCR report on the Air Suvidha portal (The test should have been conducted within 72 hrs prior to undertaking the journey).
