Travel Documents

It is important to carry all the necessary documents while travelling, be it domestic or international, to avoid inconveniences and any additional costs due to incorrect or insufficient documentation.

The travel documents required for domestic and international trips vary depending on several factors, such as your citizenship, destination, mode of transportation, and purpose of travel.

Here's a general guide to help you determine what travel documents you need to carry:

ID-proof for domestic and international flights

Documents required for domestic flight journey in India include a valid government-issued photo identification such as a driver's license, Aadhar card, or Voter ID. The most important document required for international travel is your valid passport, as it proves your identity and citizenship.

Boarding pass

You need to carry a boarding pass, either in printed or digital form, to board your flight. Here are three ways you can get a boarding pass:

  • If you have done your web check-in, the boarding pass will be sent to you on your registered email id. You can print it out and carry it with you
  • You can take a printout on one of the kiosks present at the airport using your PNR, or
  • The airport official at the check-in counter will give you the same when you go to submit your luggage
